This year’s bands have been chosen for their budding brilliance and promise. The Alive tour is the chance to be up close and personal, early days, for indie’s next big things. To prove the point, stars of the first Alive tour – Bang Bang Romeo – are now playing UK and European stadiums with Pink…

Having previously spotted and helped to launch many headline stalwarts, This Feeling is a club night and multi media platform that continues to work to help guitar bands launch their careers while inviting music fans to be involved in their story. “Guitar music is having a massive resurgence and This Feeling is central to the scene that is emerging” Alan Mcgee

A wealth of connections ensures that bands widen their influence by playing to an audience elsewhere from their locality, across the country. Additionally, the festival landscape has changed courtesy of This Feeling stages at major national events such as Isle of WightThe Great Escape, Y Not, Tramlines, Truck, 2Q and more.

All about the music, community and the safeguarding of grassroots venues and scenes, This Feeling stages, club nights, and ethos are geared towards social inclusion and exhilarating discovery. On the #Alive19 tour, all of these things will come together for an unforgettable night out.

“When you first start out as a band, you realise how difficult it can be to play decent gigs outside of your local area, This Feeling have given us a bunch of great opportunities to do just that, including some pretty wild weekends at festivals…when we get to Birmingham we’ll have to show the other bands a big old Brum night out!”

Another essential thread of the “Madlands” new music explosion, alt-pop-rockers, Sugarthief released their debut EP, the ‘i before e(p)’, was released in Spring (launched at a sold out Brum show with This Feeling) and has obviously done them so many favours over Summer that by Autumn they are on this prestigeous tour. Boom. Love that the next EP is gonna be called ‘Except After C’. Video; Straight outta Penkridge (!) Sugarthief perform ‘Modern Man’ live at Isle Of Wight Festival.

“This Feeling have been crucial to our band over the past year; the exposure, the opportunities and all the Red Stripes have given us as well as countless other bands a platform and a chance to make something of themselves; we can’t thank them enough. To be picked for the Alive Tour this year is pretty humbling as there are so many fucking great bands on This Feeling!”

As per this entire bill, fresh from multiple big festival appearances over Summer, The Estevans are set to create a new EP and these Libs-offspring-tinted good time Guildford guys are already definitely on a roll. ‘Gotta Know You’ performed on This Feeling TV:

Sharp shooting Sheffield shimmer punx, The Kicklips, straddle the 20th and 21st century with an exciting rock sound that is as thrilling and energised, as it is enticing. Their brand new single is an instant classic that is time travelled from every decade of the rock and roll years. Get right down the front – Just Do It!
